Bacon, lettuce and tomato on toasted white bread six inch with the barest mayo possible, no cheese, double bacon, salt and pepper.

Bring my own Diet Dr. Pepper with me.

Deli meats are about the only thing I can stomach from Subway. It doesn't have a lot to be expected of it, but I don't care given that place as a food option. All of the other stuff gets a big meh.

Snooty snob.. Did your pilot land the plane due to an emergency landing situation beside Subway, BR?

No, but my driver stopped there. I'm not on the road all that much, but if I was without time to stop for a lunch, I'd pick Subway over most other places or that place that has the toasted subs. Can't recall the name of that one or maybe that wrap place. I usually just snack on peanut butter wheat crackers, though. I don't eat a full lunch much. No snobbery at all. I'm just not in the situation where fast food is the only option. Go crawl back into your hole, OG.

It rarely is. I'll just munch on some trail mix from the gas station than eat any fast food.

Yeah, something happened over the past couple decades where simply going without eating no longer exists. Whatever happened to simply doing without things?

I always have to shake my head when I see a pregnant woman walking out of a subway. Hopefully she got a veggie sandwich.

I would rather eat at the following places than eat at Subway:
McDonalds
Burger King
Wendy's
Whataburger
Hardees
Ward's
Jack in the box
chickfila
the local soup kitchen

Am I the only person who thinks Subway shops smell terrible? The overwhelming aroma of overyeasted breads gags me...it's not a sweet, fresh bread smell, but a foul yeasty funk. No, I don't eat at Subway.
When I'm in a hurry, I'd rather eat a Kashi bar and a bag of almonds from the gas station than plunk down money at a Subway. If I have a few minutes, I'd rather go to a grocery store and buy an apple and some string cheese, or some similar item (hummus in a cup, precut fruit, hot lunch line).

I can stand the occasional Wendy's stop (baked potato), I don't mind Popeyes, but I'd rather skip a meal than eat Subway.

There are countless independent poboy spots all over south LA--I don't get the appeal of Subway's terrible bread & seriously bad cold cuts. Coupons, maybe?

they really do smell like absolute shite. one of the reasons I stopped going a few years ago .. I couldn't stand that stench sticking to my clothes all day.

I've only eaten at the first 4 of those on your list and, for the first 3, it's been over 15 years at least. I've eaten at Whataburger one time about 3 or 4 years ago. I was starving and that burger was good. I have no idea if it's good when you're not starving, but something about it reminded me of a burger I had when I was a child that I liked. I think it was a Dairy Queen burger. They were good when I was a kid.

I've had one of those chick fil a breakfast sandwiches at a meeting once, but that's it.

Not a health reason. I just don't like the food and for fast food, I splurge on fried chicken if that's what I'm going to do, usually, about 5 times a year or so. I love fried chicken wings.

Sometimes, people aren't in South LA or close enough to a place that serves a good poboy. I would certainly choose that over Subway everytime if available and I do.
