Was that the little place upstairs in the back of the Bayou. if so, good jambalaya.

Also original Louie's where every dish was served with complementary roach droppings and some woman's lipstick on the coffee cups.

Used to work there, the view when you walked and turned on the lights to get started at 5:00 would scare the crap out of most on the planet. I got good at killing the buggers with a knee while cooking and no customer ever caught on.

It was to the right of the Bayou and just off of Chimes. Yes the jambalaya was great. I bartended there for a little while. Tripping E worked in the kitchen for a while too.

Martini, Wesley's was owned by the owners of Pasttime. The pizzas and poboys are still identical. Lums had the hotdogs steamed in beer. Burger Chef was the orginal fifteen cent burger in Baton Rouge. The first one was on Florida Blvd. and the second one was on Plank Road.

Then you and I must have had a beer, etc. together at The Chimes back in the day. I met Ernie when he moved into Power Dorm the second semester of my freshman year. My roomate from Lafayette only lasted one semester! We also lived together for a while in an apartment. We are still good friends. I hung out with Ernie, Kevin S., Chris M., etc.

Macy's balloon!
