I was making chicken sauce piquante tonight and decided to make jambalaya half way through

So it had a bunch of different types of peppers and diced tomatoes, and I added some andouille.
It was a really good, although it wasn't a traditional cajun Jambalaya.
I'm sure some of the Jambalaya commies on here will hate on it, but I don't understand that line of thinking.

I like trying different versions of traditional recipes. As long as you dont broadcast to everyone that the dish is jambalaya when it isnt, I dont see a problem with making something unique that tastes good. Good chefs do this all the time. The food snobs can frick off.
