Harbor Seafood has mostly fried food but they also have a good selection of grilled fish

Can you go to Parenton's in old Jefferson?

Or order through doordash?

Kenner and Harbor seafood are both good seafood restaurants with non fried options.

It's not seafood per se, but Banh Mi boys is a casual place and delicious

If this was posted on the OT, Golden Corral would have come up already. But I think Brick Oven is close and it's pretty consistant for what it is. Good Luck.

Sorry to hear about your MIL. Are y’all looking for places you can take her? Come Back Inn on W. Metairie is a neighborhood spot that’s good for dining in or taking out. Flavors on Vintage is good if you want to take her for ice cream.
