I found this video of old, long out of business fast food joints..

Has anyone heard of any of these places? Most were pretty big in their day but the only one I'm aware of is the most obvious. You'll know it when you see it.
Also, pay attention to the menu prices.

Burger Chef (the first fast food restaurant mentioned in video) was one of the biggest in the country and they were everywhere- way before McDonalds and Burger King.
For Metairie/New Orleans peeps, the Fun Arcade on Vets by Dorignac’s was a Burger Chef originally.

I went to D’Lites a couple of times.
And of course Kenny Rogers.

IIRC, the Burger Chef at the corner of Harding and Scenic turned into a Mr. Cook after they shuddered it.
Not on the list, but you could get a pretty good burger in department stores like Kmart and Woolworth's. Play some Defender or Galaga after.
