Wife requested tots with some pulled pork earlier this week, and I had a ton leftover. Broke out the waffle iron last night and...damn.

Green onions and shredded cheese in the iron with them, squeeze the crap out of it on high, and wait until it turns crispy.

Didn't put quite enough tots in to make it a full waffle, but it was close enough. Didn't stick too badly.

Inspiration

Bonus: asparagus w/ bacon, garlic, and charred lemon + chicken w/ thyme, garlic, shallot, and lemon.

The real question is why do you have leftover tots? Pretty sure that's a crime somewhere.

I've read about something similar, but done with mash potatoes. Sounds good, IMO.

Exactly! Kinda like leftover boudin or crawfish. I've heard people tell stories of it, but never seen it with my own eyes.

I remember DDD did an episode at a waffle joint and they did something similar to this and all I could think was "that's fricking brilliant I need to do that".

What is the meaning of the word "leftover" you used with "Tater Tots"?

Does not make sense....

I did it last thanksgiving with leftover cornbread dressing and used it for a turkey sandwich. Would do again.

I was at my niece's bday party where the kids made their own funfetti waffle cake like in the video. That idea changed the way I now make cinnamon rolls. In the time it takes to preheat the oven, they're waffled, iced, and eaten.
