I went crazy last night. I was actually trying to get banned. Evidently it didn't work. No choice but to not go crazy anymore. In for the long haul I guess.

This is without doubt the most open ended question ever on this board. Every method of cooking a spud is legitimate, but you provide nothing to provide a clue as to where in the hell you desire to arrive at in the end.

It's like you and I never posted in here until now.

this. my cajun parents cooked what they called smothered potatoes--russet potatoes cooked down (until soft, where some of the potatoes began to fall apart and cream at the bottom of the pot but you still had big chunks of potatoes as well), with salt/black pepper/cayenne/garlic, and green onions.
of course, cajuns do mash and bake their potatoes just like everyone else...

Taters wrapped in foil then thrown into the coals is very legit.

Just cook em any old way, load em up with Cayenne pepper and call em Cajun potatoes.

Something about raping of mothers, bodily fluids, football, and a ban request.
No mention of taters.
Oteece and I made a few comments that are now gone.

Peel em, cut em, boil em in some liquid crab boil with a couple of eggs, add some mayo, salt, pepper and a little mustard and voila..... crunchless potato salad.
