No indeed. I still have the PM at the top of my page telling me to stop IMing from some weeks ago. I keep it there for decorative purposes.

Try the gloves when you next eat crawfish. You'll be a believer.

Pop some contact lens in your eyes. You'll forget all about the burn on your hands and face.

Yep, chatting with CC, I guess.

You'll thank me after you try the gloves. They're a tight fit and you can peel faster.

I had never even heard of gloves until I read about them on this board, I'd probably ask my friend to leave if he pulled out gloves to eat crawfish at my house.

Eating crawfish is the only time I wash my hands before and after using the bathroom. My hands must me immune to seasoning burn, never a problem, even chopping jalapenos.

You may well be immune. I use gloves for handling peppers because I've stuck my finger in my eye after chopping them and it wasn't terribly entertaining.

I buy the big boxes of gloves at Sam's or wherever. I use them for handling meats, also, especially making burger patties. The meat doesn't stick to the gloves like it does my hands and no sticky meat under my nails.

Some years ago, I went to a dive to eat crawfish and there was a dispenser of the gloves in the restaurant. People were grabbing them right and left. I can't recall where it was, though. I think I was out of town.

I'm not real worried that any of my friends are going to break out surgical gloves to eat crawfish, it was a joke.

I can't recall ever seeing anyone eating crawfish with surgical gloves on. If you can't get crawfish seasoning / smell off your hands with soap and a rag, then you got problems.

Pour some table salt in your hand along with some Dawn dish liquid, rub hands together real good and wash off,it's kind rough, but will for sure get the smell out, would not try that on your face though..
