Still Around

My faith in old label wines has been restored. The bottle is even similar. I might have to try this on my grilled burgers. I'm not sure if I said this and too lazy to go back. The wine turns the burger purple (dark wine colored). As best I can remember, you can definitely taste it too.

Some salt, pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, egg and a bit of bread crumbs for a binder.

I also like to make what I call an Italian Burger and add all the seasonings I'd use for my meatballs. Onion, celery, bell pepper, garlic, green onion, parsley, a bit of bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and egg.

Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and very fined minced onion. Don't overwork.

1.5 Tablespoons of Red Boat Fish Sauce per pound of ground meat.
2 Tablespoons of Dukes Mayonnaise per pound of ground meat.
Only salt and pepper one side of the patty.

You can start by calling it hamburger steak.

One of my favorite meals growing up. Hamburger steaks, mashed potatoes and a piece of white bread.

Was a while before I realized we ate that so much growing up because my mom could feed a six person family for like five bucks with it.

This has been my standard for 25 years at least:

Worcestershire sauce
Tony's
garlic powder
kosher salt
fresh ground pepper

Mix it all together and make your patties.

I was grilling with some Destin, Fl restaurant owner/operators one time and they bought pre-formed chuck hamburger meat, added nothing to it at all, and just threw it on the grill. I was horrified. At first I thought they were trying to make the taste and quality of the meat forefront, then I realized they cook for a living all day and were just being lazy.

our regular home burger is half beef and half pork Cajun seasoning finely diced onion, garlic and an egg or not pending on the meat. At times we also add most anything like diced peppers, cheese, heck even crabmeat or chopped crawfish. As many have said the secret is to not over mix the meat. All ingredients should be mixed before adding. Over mix ya meat ya get spam or potted meat consistency in ya burgers.
