Wife and I have some friends coming into town soon. They've mentioned wanting to go to Shaya.

I've been there multiple times and it's never great. I hear people rave about it but the food and service have always been inconsistent.

Has anyone been since restaurants opened with the pandemic?

Also, we really like La Petite Grocery, but haven't been since things opened. Anyone have experience? The food is great but it also has a great energy to it.

Just trying to get a sense. It will be in a few weeks so there's no NYE rush.

I haven't been to Shaya since Saba opened with the real chef, but I do see people here saying that Shaya has been very good lately. No first hand experience.

Saba is still doing a tasting menu type deal since covid started I believe which is annoying.

LPG is the same as it has always been. Always consistently good.

for me, pre-pandemic Saba was one of the better restaurants in the state. certainly one of the best new restaurants

Over the past few years, about 20 times. My wife and some of our friends really like it so we go there.

It's a good place but not great. I don't get the hype.

I'm not ragging on it...it's just meh to me. But if people recently have seen a decline, I wanted to let our friends know. If it's pretty much the same that's fine.

His spot Safta in Denver has been doing a well organized takeout business since the shutdown. The pita doesn’t travel well though.

Honestly, for the price and food I prefer Saj over the other two.

Not saying Saj is better, but it doesn't feel like I was raked over the coals for a few sprinkles of dill and a tablespoon of lamb ragu.

I'm going for the food and not the experience though. Saba and Shaya are better for feeling fancy and instagramming.
