Hubcap Grill might be the most overrated place in America.
It's awful, yet is always trotted out by Houston "foodies" as an example of a good burger here in town.
Houston isn't the greatest food town in the world, but there are decent places to grab some grub. Hubcap Grill ain't one of them. Shitty buns, bland patty, and soggy fries. The only reason worth going is that they have a decent domestic beer selection and the atmosphere is good to throw back a few in the middle of the day.
If I'm eating, though, I'd rather a Big Mac.

Burgers in Houston that are a million times better than Hubcap: BRC, Burger Guys, Bernie's Burger Bus, Petrol Station, Block 7, Max's, Lankford's Grocery, Bubba;s Buger Shack.
shite, even places like Beck's Prime (itself terribly overrated) are way better than nasty arse Hubca Grill.

Goddamn that entire list is basically a who's who of yuppie places in town where you drop 1st rate money for 2nd rate food.

I'm surprised that Reef is down at 18.

Although I moved to Denver last year so I havent been in a while but the last few times I went Reef was not good at all. It was great a few years ago but has been declining over the past two years.
Viva la Hugo's!
