We went to Taste of TX awhile back and I was not impressed.

There was 5 responses to that thread now that I have checked it. And one was a BS one.

And unfortunately I dont get to drive trains, you must be thinking of another random person who you remember way too much about.

Taste of Texas over rated and living on old reputation
Just to make it easy go to a papaanything.
Find Perry’s steakhouse and if ever there on a Friday get a lunch pork chop
Papas are good but a lot of food and now small plates

Salt grass is pretty good for meat
Lupe tortilla is by BP and a good Mexican place( there are a few restaurants in a little square area that used to be houses... good bars too)

Bistro Provence for very good French on memorial in area
Le mistral on Eldridge in area
Idk I always liked Houston’s bbq in the area

But seriously if on expense account Perry’s
If on your own nickel Perry’s pork chop Friday lunch
