Not really ever been in my rotation but sucks to see place go after that long.

I’d actually be curious to the list of restaurants that have been around Houston for over 40 years. Has to be insanely short

Yeah makes me think maybe they weren’t doing too well even before this but I have no idea. Seems like if anyone could stay afloat it would be a pizza place, especially one around for damn near 40 years.

They were good pizza 30 years ago because houstonians didn’t really know any better

It’s not like Avalon or bellaire boiler burger, that make actually decent food and are nostalgic. Barry’s was most nostalgia and letting your kids run wild inside while you crank back a few beers.

It’s also right at the start of where the culture starts at Richmond

Barry’s served a great deep dish pizza for a long time and I’ll definitely miss it. They had to have struggled for a while in that shitty part of town. I’d like to see him open elsewhere. It’s going to be eye opening and sad to watch many more good spots shutter for good.

I remember going to the location that was near Northwest Mall as a kid with my dad. Don't remember anything about the pizza but it's sad that a restaurant that has been around that long had to close due to Covid-19.

Most pizza places are killing it right now, Corona didn’t kill it

Greg Abbott killed Barry's pizza. Not Covid. Never forget that.

That’s cause all the Pizza Hut buffets closed down. Where else am I going to gorge myself with random pizzas, dessert pizzas, breadsticks, spaghetti, and salads with 15 toppings on it? Oh, and flavored margaritas. Can’t wait to go back.

Adios Bernie's Burger Bus

Looks like Bernie's is going under. I really like their ketchup...guess I'll have to stop by before their last day of service which is this Sunday.

I liked Bernie’s but there was bound to be a market correction on high end burger shops.

Much rather give Bernie’s my money than shake shack
