Covington/Mandeville on a larger scale.

And yet you still can't coherently state your point.

I haven't been there in almost 20 years, so I'm afraid I won't bring much to the conversation.

Different conversation. But I'm shocked, absolutely shocked, that you can't comprehend that.

You should talk about the inability to comprehend.

How so? Really? Stop with the pissing contest. You won. I'm sure there's a prize somewhere. Go back to your argument and let's discuss it. Tell us, expressly, what you're trying to say.

Can you provide a list of the NOLA restaurants in Houston so we can discuss whether or not they are duplications or reiterations?

Let's also ignore that this tard really should have said "iteration" and keep calling them reiterations.

The use of reiteration is intentional. When you have to repeatedly bang people over the head, like this place you referenced does, you're reiterating that you're a New Orleans restaurant.. for anybody that wouldn't be able to tell, from the cuisine.

Well that's actually true from my experience.

Well, that's what I can't figure out. You seem to almost be arguing that there is something inherently unique (almost spiritual) about New Orleans cuisine that makes it impossible to duplicate elsewhere.

Now, that's a different belief than "New Orleans cuisine is unique because New Orleans has a unique blend of cultures unlike other places". I don't think anyone seriously disagrees with that belief. I mean, Italian cuisine is unique. It's not the same as French or Japanese cuisine, etc. However, I don't think that anyone would seriously state that Italian cuisine can't be duplicated elsewhere. Oh, people may quibble about authenticity, and pasta being better in Italy etc., but those are fringe arguments.

When someone pointed out that some New Orleanians (who presumably know New Orleans cuisine) opened a place in NYC, you scoffed and then switched to "that's not an authentic New Orleans Restaurant" (which was odd, because I don't think anyone alleged that they were trying to open a restaurant in New Orleans). Did they magically lose that unique spiritual ability to duplicate New Orleans cuisine once they left Louisiana? Help me understand.

If there was a mass exodus of New Orlenians to NYC, could they not duplicate New Orleans cuisine up here?
