I just kind of glanced over the list so maybe I missed some things but there seems to be some glaring omissions. If you are going to include BBQ, how is Corkscrew at 31 and omit Gatlin totally? No Mockingbird or Backstreet Café in the top 100? Pappas Steakhouse in the 70's and below some average Mexican?

That said, I've been to probably 20 of these places and the list gave me some ideas about places I'd like to try so, I guess it serves its purpose. Next on the list is this weekend and Holley's Seafood...

If we're including stuff in the burbs, I'd put DeVinci in Cinco Ranch above Tony's.

Not sure what Cajun Kitchen/Louisiana Kitchen, whatever it's called, is doing on that list.

Was going to do the Pass for our anniversary, but cancelled bc we'll be going to Chicago instead. I had to book 3 months in advance for a favorable friday night time the weekend I wanted.

Reschedule that shite.

Went to The Pass about a year ago for a recruiting dinner for my firm- was nothing short of an amazing culinary experience. Fixed 8-course menu with wine or cocktail (we were hammered) pairings. It was one of, if not the most, memorable meals I've ever had.

Forgot that. That is a pretty glaring omission considering some of the other places listed.

This was my biggest issue as well.

Gatlin's has been closed the better part of a year I think. They just recently reopened. Hell Greg Gatlin has been cooking at Jackson Street BBQ in the interim.

Here is the total list. Looks like a pretty good list overall, only things I thought were WAY out of place were:

Should have been higher
--Uchi @ #18 (deserving of the top 5)
--Pappas Steakhouse @ #73 (this should have easily been in the top 15)
--Vic & Anthony's @ #74 (Allison Cook must have not eaten here yet)

Should have been lower
--Good Dog Houston @ #25 (an average-at-best hot dog joint in the top 25?)
--Latin Bites @ #15 (it was good, but not even in the top 50)
--Irma's @ #59 (have eaten here numerous times before an Astros game, the food is average at best. Not sure this place even makes the top 100 list)

Pass is worth every penny spent and provisions is great for a more casual feel. I was the beverage director upon moving to Houston from Baton Rouge. Gatlins, as mentioned, only reopened within the past couple weeks actually. Solid list overall and I've hit quite a few since moving here.
