Excellent choice. I've eaten a lot of po-boys from there, and their muffaletta is excellent too. It's changed hands from the original owners, but still a good sandwich shop.

Yeah, they aren't going anywhere. I live less than a mile from Mandina's. There's a ton of good locally owned and operated places in Mid-City where a great, affordable meal can be had.
