Hot Cheetos lovers can now incorporate their favorite snack into their Thanksgiving dinner. Reynolds Kitchens posted a "Hot Turkey in an Oven Bag" recipe on their website, featuring a roasted turkey with a spicy cheese puff coating. The recipe instructs chefs to crush "hot puffed cheese sticks," spread it all over their holiday bird using butter or oil, wrap it in a Reynolds oven bag and pop it in the oven. The kitchen products company is known for their Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil and Hefty trash bags. They also listed ranch-flavored and onion-flavored turkey recipes for people who prefer a different taste with their turkey.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place hot puffed cheese sticks in a food processor and process until fully crushed. You can also add to a zip top bag and roll with a rolling pin until sticks are completely crushed.

3. Brush oil or butter on turkey and coat with the crushed chips.

4. Add 1 tsp of flour to the Reynolds® Oven Bag and place in a large roasting pan that is at least 2 inches deep

5. Carefully slide turkey into the oven bag, making sure the opening of the bag is facing the end of the roasting pan, and not facing up. The bag should be inside the pan, not hanging over the edges of the pan.
6. Close oven bag with the included nylon tie, and cut six 1/2 inch slits in the top of the bag
7. Cook turkey till it reaches 165°F in several places. Remove from oven and let stand in oven bag for 15 minutes or until cool enough to handle.
8. Cut open the top of the bag. Carefully lift turkey from bag and place in a large baking dish or pan with at least 2” sides. Return turkey to oven for 15 to 20 minutes to crisp the coating.

Is this what the United States has become? Smashing junk food on a Thanksgiving day turkey.

I would never do that to my turkey but if someone was serving I would for sure try it

Turkey seems like bad application, but will absolutely try for a fried porkchop

I really hate these "over the top" attempts at any recipe. Just keep it simple and be careful and an old fashioned turkey can't be beat. No need for all that

Only thing I have eaten from that list was the Jucy Lucy.
