But I read the reviews and it appears the bottoms split on them after a few years.

I have had some for 4 years and haven't had a problem with cracking. Most of the people who crack there's end up doing it when shaking the carboy to aerate.

Dang, too soon.

Is there some good place to find out where competitions are in the area?

You need a t-shirt from this weekend's festivities. What size are you?

The AHA has a list of competitions that are sanctioned by them on their website.

I've had 2, 5 gallon Better Bottles for a few years with no problems. The reviews were for the 6 gallon sizes and I'm wanting to get a 6 gallon carboy. I'm still debating whether I want to go with glass and have to deal with the extra weight. I have a 5 gallon glass carboy that can be pretty unwieldy for my skinny arms.

I've got the 6 gallon sized ones. No issues yet but boy are they nice and light.

Congrats again Frat and Boo. I checked out the Dixie Cup website last night and they have all the results posted. Who are the Foam Rangers group?

Thanks!

I'm pretty proud of winning that one, and Fratastic said that it was one of the most contested styles and one of the judges even made it a point to congratulate him on my beer. Still really cool and I should have a growler of it on Saturday.

Sweet! Didn't get enough of a taste at the last gathering.

I still recall that precise scientific measurement for the rosemary addition.

Appropriate I guess since Frat is one of the founders of the group and he taught you everything you know.
