Hogs not taking cash is downright silly.
They were trying to give cash directly to the booth when their wristbands wouldn’t work, and the booth wouldn’t take it
Apparently some booths started saying frick it and taking cash

Yeah at my kids school we do $1 tickets at the gate that people can use for whatever, food, beer, wine, games, rides etc. all the cash stays at the gate and we have police security escorting the money man to the counting room every hour or so.

Yeah the ticketing system seems like a much easier way to go. Or like the other festivals often do, let people connect their wristband to their credit card so it’s basically like using a credit card rather than requiring you to load up.
Voodoo had a cashless option, but it was direct credit card link.

Yeah man, I don’t venture out to River Ridge very often.
Looks like a cool little place. May have to check it out.

Yep. And I would bet the people working that spot are hand picked, on the school finance board, etc.
Every year we get a few request from a parent or 2 who really wants to work the ticket booth (we don't allow volunteers for this booth) and we tell them it's already filled.

Their prices can’t be beat either. Best charbroiled oysters hands down. And 1.75 draft beer

Now that you’ve seemed to cool your tits, have you apologized to LL for calling her a bitch?
If not you need to right now. That was very uncalled for.

Agreed.
She handled it well though.

They are volunteers of course but yes, the carrier, the counters and the ticket booth are all hand picked.
There’s 4 Sherrif deputies that guard the money wherever it goes.

Nah. She deserved it at the time
Don’t give me a holier than thou sermon and tell me to hug my healthy children because I am upset I spent money to enter a festival that I couldn’t participate in
I don’t dislike her, hell I told her last night I was over it and we should be friends
I call my friends dicks or bitches when they are being one, and I am called one as well when I deserve it
Such is life

Yesterday was my first time and I had a blast. My bracelet worked perfectly. I had some great food and got hammered.
Bracelet issues aside, this has to be the best festival in Nola. The fact that you have to pay $25 or $30 just to get in keeps the riffraff out. It’s not overly crowded and it’s just good ppl having a good time.

Sounds like you just need to learn how to have some patience.
You were probably just grumpy cause you were hungry. You should have brought a Snicker bar.

And if it was just me I would likely managed to figure something out. Apparently, there was a customer service tent somewhere that could have fixed it. Never saw it hough and the workers never mentioned going there. Toting two kids under 3 makes these moments a little difficult to maneuver though
Once again, the workers were extremely apologetic and nice about everything. I simply don’t have a desire to go back next year. And I don’t think that’s a big deal

Sorry your bracelet didn’t work but you’re a bit of a douche so it’s probably just karma. How long do you plan on pouting about it?

I mean I will discuss it when people respond

So my wristband worked, and I ate plenty, but I'll just have to use my imagination to see Crawfish from Arabi and Aporkalypse Now's BBQ that won Grand Champ again since they served Grilled Cheeses, Quesadillas and french fries to the masses.
