You’re dramatic to say they lost you as a customer like it’s fricking WalMart. I’m sure they care a great deal about what happened. But by all means, boycott a charity event like an angry customer.

I drove in with my family to help a cause and could not spend a single dollar and had to

I don’t blame you for being bummed it happened. I think it’s petulant and ridiculous for anyone (including the people y’all mentioned screaming and cursing) to stomp around like a child because of a third party technical error that nobody can fix.
I’m sure they will have backups, if not overhaul the entire method of payment, going forward. Again - I DOUBT THEYRE GLAD THIS HAPPENED. But it’s a charity event being staffed by volunteers who can’t hack into another company’s server for you.
If I was one of the parents with dying children seeing someone that upset, I’d have a hard time stopping myself from reminding them just how dramatic they really are being.

I’m not going to have someone call out for trying to spend money and not being allowed to due to someone else's error
I had nothing agaisnt the people working. They were as nice as can be about it. But louisianaLady can stick it for trying to tell me off for being upset about the situation

The only problem I encounted today was solved in about 10 seconds at customer service.
I'm not blaming you for not going to customer service, but you seem to have been asking the wrong people for help.
Also, I would have just used my card to top off instead of turning around and going home, but I get not everyone has the same luxury.
You should be able to get your money back off when it does load. So you won't actually be out any money.
