a $10 burger is no problem. Me and the Mrs dropped $325 at Emeril's just the two of us

A big timer like you might not mind spending $10 on a Wendy's type burger, but i would rather go to a bar and grill and get a better burger.

I do like value, I don't want to piss away money on sub par food. I just don't expect to blown away by a burger. A little TLC is worth an extra $5

Curbside is the best, Raul's is a close second (their burger patty is better, but Curbside has better everything else). Nothing else comes close.

A lot of people will condemn you for even mentioning Raoul's. I also forgot to mention Riverside Patty, which a lot of people like. I like Curbside but have had some bad experiences with them. Many people claim that the shrimp burger at Mason's is the best. I personally like Fat Cow.

As for Uncle E's, I ordered a burger that had a burger patty, a hot sausage patty, a pork chop, sauteed onions and jalapenos, and a fried egg, fully dressed. Talk about good.

It's a pretentious grease bomb. Save your money.

I'd add Bistro Byronz to the list.

I wouldn't say 5 Guys is "high end"
Good but not "high end"

The hangover burger at City Cafe is pretty killer. As a poster stated above, anytime you put a fried egg on a burger it has to be slammin good!

Seconded. My personal favorite next to mason's. I've grown to like Fat Cow too.

I don't think there is a worse burger in town than Fat Cow.

Ok...I thought so too when I went the first time. But they've been much improved.

The wife and I went about 2 months ago and it was awful........I actually felt sick after eating their burger. To each their own......but I'm not a fan.

If you consider 5 guys to be high end, I assume you live in a trailer

I've decided that all BR burgers have been incredibly overrated. Not because some don't taste better than others, it's because it's just fricking ground meat between a couple of buns. That's it.

With that said, I'll occasionally put on a pair of Dockers with a button up shirt and a blue blazer and head on over to Jay's BBQ for one of their delicious burgers...They lightly press the bun and the burger tastes like a luxury drive-in burger.

If you're in town for lunch, try Coffee Call on Coursey.

They do have a pretty good burger and some other pretty tasty food at Coffee Call...J Alexander's burger was a huge disappointment, and Portobello's burger has gotten just plain nasty when I tried it again recently.

How about the burgers at George's and Dempsey's? Both are juicy and delectable and cooked to perfection
