I rarely like any pizza.

I like Pastime though.

There's your problem right there. Pastime is easily the most overrated pizza probably ever. Don't get me wrong, it's ok, I'll eat if I'm there, but I'd rather eat Pizza Hut than Pastime. It's ok, but I'll never understand the absolute love it gets.

Stood in line for 10 mins without moving, I think every frat guy in baton rouge is there right now.

Left, and got a togo from Red Zepplin.

Guess I'll have to make it to Johnny's a little earlier next time. The whole house was full with a line out the door.

Congrats to the owners, that place is slammed

I'm sure after all the faithful have one here and everybody else laughs at the pizza the fallback will be the mysterious secret location somewhere in North La, that only 3 people know about that once made a pizza that was good.

Probably so. It has it's own taste that North Louisiana is familiar with. It's great to have that pizza taste that I loved as a kid. But it's not like a Home Slice Pizza or a Rotolo's specialty pizza place to me. But then again the Northern Louisiana market that it already has may be all it needs to keep a float w/o having to expand around Baton Rouge. And it's a local business which I have no problem supporting. And a bigger plus there are no drunk hicks with their rowdy arse kids getting on my nerves. to that!

Oh and funny story. Back in the day I remember reading a story about a Johnny's Pizza in Monroe that got busted for having a "House Special" which was a pizza with a Dime Bag. Enough said without being accused of slander. Trying to find the story, it was either on Dead Pelican or DrudeReport at the time.

There was a wait last night but it was worth it. The pizza was great. I am looking forward to many more there. No more searching for the closest thing to Johnnys.
