Only brand of charcoal I use anymore. Briquettes, lump, and logs. All good stuff.

FWIW, Jealous Devil Chunk XL and Kamado Joe Big Block XL are superior, IMO. JD XL is almost too big of chunks, but works well for long smokes. KJ has been my long time favorite but JD XL may be my new go to.

Jealous Devil XL is at Home Depot
Kamado Joe Big Block is at Lowe's

I'll have to check the local HD, I started buying the Jealous Devil XL from Amazon, our local HD had Royal Oak which was great at first but the last 2 bag I'd bought were full of dust, trash, metal, etc so I went another route. I've been happy with the Jealous Devil stuff so far.

I don't doubt it. B&B is what 1/2 the cost maybe and perfectly fine for what I use it for.

I kind of figured most people are capable of finding the websites for Walmart and the Academy but for the lazy and dumb crowd, tEgg took care of you

I looked it up. I don't shop at Walmart so was wondering about Academy. I was more interested in hardwood charcoal which is not discounted.

you have a nice day as well.

I really tried to like B&B, but I just can't. It is way too crumbly and I have a really hard time trying to re-use it after a short cook for the next cook as it just crumbles into tiny bits. I'll stick to Kingsford.

b&b hardwood charcoal is great and only $15 at Academy.

Their competition pellets are great too. 40lb bag is also $15.

Tried most, worst being cowboy

Jealous Devil and FOGO and maybe even Kamado brand are top quality

B&B for the price is really good

Kamado runs the occasional special too

Don’t know if I ever see devil at a significant cut, maybe if you’re in some sort of competition it makes a difference but I don’t find it comes out dramatically different using it

My apologies toof, sometimes internet laziness aggravates me…but I suppose I was guilty of it myself by not linking.

I use Fogo and load up when it goes on sale. I usually catch it for around $18 a bag from Amazon or Academy. I don't do extremely long smokes. So their medium size is perfect for my BGE.
