So this is my first post on this board because I want to learn a few "quick" dinner ideas. I can cook a couple of things but my variety range sucks.

What are some recipes you know of for quick dinners with ground beef. I'm not looking for Hamburger helper or sloppy joes. I already know how to do those.

I'm looking for general, quick and easy ideas for dinner when you get home at 5PM and don't want to slave over the stove all night. Help me out.

Brown your ground meat and throw in a can of corn and black beans. Spoon some into tortillas and add a little cheese of your choice and top with sour cream or whatever else you like.

another idea is to shape the ground meat into small patties, toss in the skillet and pan fry until done the way you like them. Mix a couple of packs of brown gravy and pour it in the skillet and let it simmer on low heat for 1/2 an hour or so and make you some rice to serve it on with a veggie.

1 lb ground beef, 1 box Beef Rice a Roni, 1 can corn, salsa (i use Casa Manana sauce), shredded cheese.

Brown ground beef then let simmer in salsa. Fix rice according to directions. Add beef, corn, a little more salsa to rice about 5 minutes before rice is cooked. Add cheese on top when you're letting the rice mixture stand to cool and thicken. You can eat it by itself, or wrap it in tortillas.

You're welcome!!

Brown 1 lb of ground meat with onions/garlic/seasonings of your choice.

Cook 1 box of small shell pasta and drain

In a baking pan, place pasta in a single layer across the bottom. Top with the ground meat.

Mix 1 small can of tomato sauce with an equal amount of milk. Pour evenly over the top of the ground meat and pasta.

Bake for about half an hour. You want the sauce to thicken up good. All ingredients are already cooked.

Place cheese on top and return to oven until cheese is melted to desired degree.

Eat.

Make some tacos. All you need is some shredded cheese, taco shells or tortillas and some of this...

And whatever else you like to go on your taco.

You can even get a can of refried beans and a package of spanish rice for sides.

Get one of those easy meatloaf recipes online.

You can make quick lasagna if you don't mind jarred sauce. ( I make my own and freeze it.) Just brown the meat and add onions, garlic and whatever else you might like or nothing. Drain and add a thick spag sauce. Cook it down a bit. Get the no boil lasagna noodles and layer casserole with sauce, noodles, mixture of ricotta cheese, egg and parm cheese, and mozzarella. Then, bake.

Bake a roast on Sunday for the week. You can make poboys later on for a quick meal.

Chicken can be grilled, roasted, baked, fried, sauteed... pretty quickly with seasonings of your choice.

I don't use a crock pot, but many folks here make roasts and red beans in them. They are ready when they get home from work.

Fish is easy to bake, broil or saute, quickly.

What do you like to eat?

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Cooked the ground meat. Add can of cream of mushroom, 8oz sour cream, granulated garlic, onion powder, black pepper. Serve over seashell pasta.

I always buy ground beef in bulk, cook it up and divide into 1 lb portions in quart freezer bags. That way when I am running short on time I can just nuke the meat to thaw, take out in the am for dinner, or place it frozen in the crockpot with a jar of spaghetti sauce/sloppy joe sauce, taco seasoning or what ever.
