1 brick of Cream Cheese
1 tube of Jimmy Dean sausage
1 can of Rotel

this is pretty amazing, although I use chipolte tomatoes in there, plus sauting onions, red peppers, and then adding cilantro at the end.

I also will make it vegan, pretty easy to do.

Mr. Taylor cannot feed a family of 5 with 12 oz. of sausage.

I got 3 men that weigh over 200 lbs, a woman, that's a little plump...stocky girl...

This looks decent. It's one of those stupid buzzfeed type gifs on Facebook but it doesn't look bad.

quote:

Here's the recipe:
7 Large Eggs
1 lb Ground Sausage
1 Bunch Green Onions
2 Cloves Garlic (minced)
1 Tbls Mustard
Salt
Pepper
Flour
Seasoned Bread Crumbs
Vegetable Oil (for frying)

Bring a medium pot of water to a Boil. Add 5 eggs and boil for six minutes. Remove from heat and immediately transfer eggs to an ice water bath to cool (this will prevent the eggs from cooking further and will ensure a nice soft boiled egg)

Combine sausage, green onions, garlic, mustard, salt, and pepper.

Peel the cooled eggs and roll in flour.

Press out the sausage mixture into patties and wrap around the floured eggs.

whisk the remaining 2 eggs together to form an egg wash.

Roll your sausage-wrapped egg in flour, then egg wash, and finish in the seasoned bread crumbs. Repeat for each egg.

Heat oil to 300°F and fry each egg for about 3 minutes, until browned on all sides. Transfer fried eggs to a baking tray and finish cooking in a preheated oven for 5 minutes at 200°C/400°F.

Enjoy!

I agree. But anything fried is yum, so I figured I'd share.

I'd never heard of one until someone posted a recipe here a few years ago. So delicious.

I've never made them and the few times I've had them they were dry as dirt. I'm sure they could be good. Don't people down here call them armadillo nuts or something clever like that?

Me too They do a good job of making them short enough and look easy enough for anyone to do.

Unfortunately, some are really weird. I saw one the other day where they used all of the exact same ingredients as lasagna and layered them in the exact same way you'd layer them for lasagna.. but put them in a crock pot on high for 3 hours instead of into a baking dish in the oven for 30-40 minutes. It was 3x more time consuming for a less desirable result. So odd. And I love the crock pot.
