The guy selling watermelons in Clinton Louisiana on the south side of the courthouse Square also has green peanuts. He has small sacks and big sacks. I bought a small sack for 10 bucks. I’m guessing is about 5 pounds. FYI

How big are they?
I finally got me some green ones this past weekend in Alabama. They are tiny, but I didn’t care

No jumbo, but okay. It was the first I’ve seen.

Thanks
I had started a thread last month looking for them. Someone mention a few places at the time outside of Jackson.
Please let me know if y’all see any in southeast La or MS. I know I will start calling the produce stands in Ponchatoula and Hammond soon

Anybody on here from Baton Rouge? Fresh Pickin's on Coursey and High Neighbor on Jones Creek usually gets the green peanuts first.

I love to boil them in seafood boil for a few hours and then let them soak.
I'll even take some of them and put them in my oven on big trays with the heat on 200 degrees to dry out overnight. They roast a bit and have that intense flavor of the seafood boil to boot.
