Small difference there, bud. Great Raft sends a limited amount of G&G each time and it shelf turds. Like saying Ghost shelf turded 3-4 years ago. These days, Parish sends endless amounts of Ghost to where it doesn't run out. I promise it sells.

It's poor man's malty Jucifer. Glad you like it. It's not bad. It's not awesome.

Huh. All the old Ghost I see turding it up must be an illusion.

I'll be honest that I didn't try the recent release because I didn't care for the first, and so I won't argue with maybe the second was better than the first.

I'll also say in typical Great Raft dropping the ball fashion, Rhinestone Life is a better beer name than This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things and should have been entered in the contest. It won the award so I'm probably wrong, but that's my two cents...

I didn't care for the first either but I tried the second in a flight and it is lighter, less malty than the first. It is a perfect summer beer for sure

I'm not sure if you go to a popular store to purchase your beer, but if you do, that's called restocking the shelf. If you shop at the piggly wiggly in walker, it might be turding. Great Raft will send enough G&G for each store to get a case or two and then it will take them a month to sell it.

Batch 1 was malty. I didn't try batch 2. Didn't want to, but I will give it a try with someone saying it was better. That said, I've always found GR's IPAs to be malty and missing the tropical, juicy characteristics most people want. Maybe that's not what you want, and that's cool.

Where? I didn't see it anywhere in Shreveport last weekend. Ghost, bloom, and ddh envie was everywhere.

This batch is. The first was awful and malty.

You also said all their beers taste the same so we can just agree to disagree.

You also won't find any in Baton Rouge because I don't think we've gotten any in 3-4 months. Did not mean it is currently shelf turding. Meant that when stores get it these days, no one goes out of their way to buy it. Maybe some do, but I definitely do not see much interest in it at all compared to like 3 years ago. Also, Parish added more tanks and brewing double shifts to have those beers everywhere across 5 states. I'm not surprised you saw them. It's called brewing copious amounts of the style of beer people want and distributing it.

I'm sure you're going to shite on my source, but Untappd says it's a 3.88 and I would agree with that. Doesn't make it crap. I'm not going out of my way for it, though.

Bottle/can dates

Ghost 5/17
Ddh envie 4/29

Rhinestone 6/13

Don't have any more bloom left, but it released around 5/20 so probably around then. Parish I bought at the uptown rouses a couple weeks ago and the rhinestone is from here in Dallas.

Tell me more about how it's flying off shelves and being re ordered like crazy.

The problem of having one entry that covers 3 different batches vs having an entry for each batch.

Ghost has never, not once come in a six pack. Always been four packs. I'm sure you'll say that's what I meant. Either way, your two cents is null.

Rhinestone is a one time drop, so the date and sitting there doesn't mean anything.

Ghost at seven weeks I would still happily drink. Maybe these days it takes seven weeks to sell a case in some places, especially Shreveport. It's available everywhere and year round. At a store in Shreveport, there is not a beer I would rather purchase than seven week old Ghost.

This DDH Envie was a miss, so I'm not surprised it was there. I saw it a few days ago at Dorignacs, also. I didn't love the Strata. Some have been home runs. Some have been misses.
