Went to Stab's last night instead of RC. I made a mistake.

Food is always perfect, but don’t underestimate the service. Probably the most consistent excellent service at any restaurant in BR

We've gone about twice per year for over 20 years. It's always on point. I can't think of a bad experience.

i've had only good experiences, but that's a bit much. it's not easily top 10 in a noteworthy city, much less nationally.

Ok hotshot. I am just going off of my history of eating at most of them and saying it stacks up. You do you.

In the early 2010s I worked for Parish Electric and we would do the occasional service call there.

The kitchen is a disgusting as any other restaurant. They're all nasty.

I worked at Chalet Brandt while at LSU. That kitchen was fricking spotless.

I completely agree with you, so not sure why the downvotes? Ruth's is fine, but it's not even my favorite steak in BR, much less the rest of the country.

What’s your favorite steak in BR?

The BR Ruth’s Chris would be a top 10 steakhouse in 99% of cities in the US

For me it’s:

1. Sullivan’s
2. Ruth’s Chris
3. Fleming’s

1. You can't afford any of those.

2. You're a clownshow.

I find the RC in downtown NOLA to be wanting and overly touristy.

I'd rather Crescent City for a steak than RC in downtown. That being said, the RC in BR is first rate.

Honestly, anyone who just throws it on the grill. I think it's more that Ruth's serves theirs drowning in drawn butter and the consistency is strange to me. I'm pretty sure they sous vide theirs but maybe someone else can clarify. It seems like the steaks are "steamed" if that makes sense. Almost like a mealy texture. And I keep ordering it, and I keep not liking it lol.

I will give them props for wonderful and consistent service, and everything else they serve is great. The lobster bisque is fantastic, for sure.

I agree with this statement, but I was replying earlier to this:

In all of the United States? NYC, Chicago, the entire state of Texas? Absolutely not.
