I'd take half a dozen seven year olds over some of the screeching loud hags at bar.

To each their own, but branch out a little. No place, especially Ruffinos, is that good.

I still know Ruffino's is not a place for a kids party

Apparently it is is the restaurant is letting it happen.

I 100% confident that Ruffinos does not want to be know for the place to have pizza parties

Their website begs to differ.

Fine dining for a kids bday party????

I know I haven't been to Ruffino's in a while(not a fan), but what the hell happened?

Result of the stellar mass transit and cabbie system BR has in place.

I am not surprised by this. Sort of what I would expect from Ruffinos. More shocked people really think Ruffinos is nice enough not to do this.

Yes, they have two limos (actually a large and medium sized Benz vans).

They have had a build your own pizza bar (not like a salad bar) for as long as I can remember. It is directly ahead as you walk in. There is a large wood burning pizza oven.

As for a "party", its not a "Chuck E Cheese party" with a bunch of kids, presents, balloons, etc, its just little girls all dressed up, sitting at the bar eating pizza.

Did you see the tab for "private parties"? I bet they'll serve pizza at those parties.

What is your idea of a Nice restaurant in BR?

Maison Lacour and Latils Landing are really all I would consider fine dining and would be surprised to see a 7 year old birthday party there.

I can see the argument for Mansurs and probably Sullivan's.

Probably a good idea. I imagine that area being a DWI choke point.

It sounds like they are trying to accomodate everyone? That usually results in poor quality.

I haven't been since college(8yrs or so). They brought me the wrong dish. I didn't like the one they brought or the one my date ordered. Overcooked fish is a cardinal sin to me and I've never returned. The menu never really interested me. Looking at the website, it looks like they have expanded on the menu.

Are the pizzas good?

I've never had it, but it is a hand tossed, fresh topping, wood burning oven pizza.

I've been there quite a few times and never had a bad meal or service. One of the best meals I've ever had came from there, grilled blue fin tuna. It was unbelievable!!!

I though the Ruffino's bus was for people to get drunk at ruffinos..

I have a friend that uses it every time her group goes. They get smashed before, during, after.
