My biggest complaint is that they were out a few items on the menu, but I gave them a pass, because I got there at 1:45 (they close at 2). The food I had was good enough to warrant a return visit.

I am sure I will eventually try the place out, but I am definitely nervous from these reviews. When he was at IPO, there were more items I didn't care for than items I really liked.. so I'm afraid of that happening here.

They must have a lot of specials? Many of the things recommended in this thread aren't on the menu on their website.

Reviews? Most of the people here are just bashing, not even reviewing. Try it yourself and formulate your own opinion.

I've enjoyed both of my visits, and will return for both lunch and dinner.

I haven't been for lunch, but they also had a limited menu for the dinner soft opening last weekend. Everything I had was excellent though, and they had just about everything I wanted.

Went for dinner last and did a small plate tasting. Everything was excellent, service was great and i enjoyed the presentation of the food. Had the tuna, crawfish waffle, duck breast, black and blue, pork belly pb&j, chocolate cake and pecan pie cheesecake.

Crawfish waffle and the black and blue were standouts, but the pork belly pb&j was my favorite. Really cool flavor profile.

My wife and i will definitely be back.

Is this a sandwich?

Saltine serves something by the same name, but it is pork belly, pepper jelly, and boiled peanuts. Not sandwich form.

Now that you mention it, I don't recall it being bone in. I'm not 100% sure

Wouldn't it be obvious to remember? And you want us to trust your review?

Because I'm not the one who ate it.

You don't need to eat it know. It's easy to differentiate a fried drumstick, thigh, breast, or wing from a strip.

You gave your review on it. You liked it. So when Motorboat said that "I'm not going back for a while", you responded "Good. You won't be hogging my table then."

Don't you think that's contradictory? It's kind of like you saying "Hillary Clinton is great". Other person says "Hillary stinks". You respond by saying "Good, I'm happy you think Hillary stinks". It's a defense mechanism.

I hope you don't count me as a basher. I really wanted to like this place.

there are a lot of pics in this thread that look way better than the crap I had. Maybe for dinner service Chef Wadsworth decided to use someone else's palate. But for lunch, sorry, but it sucked. Twice.

I've been twice for lunch. First time I had the boudin and egg sandwich. Second I had the hog snapper special. Both were very good. The deconstructed pistachio dessert was very good as well.

I haven't been for dinner yet, but it's going to be a new fixture in my lunch rotation.
