Recently tried Pecan Lodge and Terry Black's in the same week. Terry Black's had much better brisket. Ribs were a draw, though a friend leaned Pecan Lodge. Sides favored Pecan Lodge.

But bbq is about the brisket. Go to Terry Black's and get the fatty cut.

Is Lockhart still open in Bishop Arts? Always thought they were the best.

Best smoked chicken for sure.

An hour is "a little extra?"

If he doesn't live in Texas, yes. For the #1 ranked BBQ in the state. Most people drive 45-60 minutes a day to and from work.

My apologies if this bothered you that much.

Most people when traveling, presumably for work, don't have a half a day to go eat

How much better brisket and ribs does Goldies have than Terry Black's or Pecan Lodge?

I've eaten at Terry Black's in Austin and Pecan Lodge. Both are top shelf BBQ joints. Curious how much better are others?
