Looking for a good restaurant around Downtown Shreveport. I have never been to the town before so if there aren't any downtown then anywhere is OK.

I had dinner at Two Johns in Bossier this weekend. Not even 10 minutes from downtown Shreveport.

It was excellent, considering I was having to do my anniversary night in Shreveport. It was widely recommended by our Shreveport friends. I had a great steak.

....when I think of "supper", I think of Grandma's cooking, so I don't know if you are going to find that around downtown Shreveport.

But for dinner in downtown, I'd suggest:

Abby Singer
Noble Savage (if you don't mind smoke or bar atmosphere)
Blind Tiger (typical Louisiana fare)
Parish Taceaux (overpriced and kinda meh for me, but some people love it)

Noble Savage is good and often has some pretty legit dinner specials.

And since you said you don't mind leaving downtown I would recommend Frank's Napoletano.

Really depends on what you are looking for.

Finer Dining: All within 10 or so minutes
2Jons
Superior Steakhouse
Mabry House
Chianti

Good Times with good food:
Noble Savage
The Cub
Franks Pizza
Abby Singers

Shreveport is small enough where anything will be within 15 or so minutes.

As said above, if you want downtown I'd go to noble savage or blind tiger.

If just Shreveport in general, check out ki Mexico or Franks
