Was thinking more of a range from $10-$15. Something more causual for sure.

The one items at most restaurants for that price are sandwiches. So unless you hit up a sandwich shop and something not "sit down", you're not getting that.

for my b.p. we went to la bayou on bourbon, pricing depends on what you get, but they have very good food.

Rambla, brah. Fork out an extra $90/person, and you can have a helluva meal and get pretty crunk on an open bar. It's a multi-course tapas kind of deal, but you'll get full and it's delicious.

I brought a group to Oceania (I think that is the name) because they took large group reservations and was moderately priced. Food was OK for the price and service and atmosphere was decent.

What humors me about this post is the fact that the guy on the bachelor party who refuses to waste money on "eating" and demands cheap food, will undoubtedly be the guy who on Sunday morning everyone finds out spent $1200 upstairs at Rick's with nothing to show for it save a set of blue colored balls.

Exactly, on a bachelor party you have to budget accordingly. I think we narrowed it down to Remoulade. Something, with a good variety of food at a reasonable price so we can save money for lap dances. I am not rolling with a bunch of OT millionares

The way the Mississippi is rising, something on the second floor might be beneficial.

I don't understand it either. Why even go out of town for a bachelor party if you can't afford more than $10 for dinner?

Dinner might not be the most important part of your bachelor party, but it's still a special occasion with your friends in (what sounds like) a city you don't live in. The first thing I'd be doing is looking for a decent meal.

I'm sorry I don't roll with a bunch of food critics.

My buddy wanted to go to New Orleans drink, gamble, go to bars, hang out and eat pretty much in that order of significance. I was looking for a place that has a wide price range for food that would fit everyone in the groups taste. I put the $10/plate thing to give a median price for the range we are looking for. I think I found that in Remoulade. I appreciate all of the suggestions.

In that case, there IS a cost effective buffet inside Harrah's, which is where you're intending on being. It's nothing that I'd normally recommend, but it sounds like something you might be looking for.
