Im going to Oxford this weekend and haven't been in a few years. I was curious what you guys think are some of their better places to eat both casual (for lunch) and semi-formal for supper

TIA

Most people just hit the square and find something there...

I know that, I was just seeing if people had information and recommendations.

McEwins, Grillhouse and Grocery are my favorites on the square. Snackbar is tops on my list but it’s off the square.

For lunch: Ajax, blind pig, Gus’s chicken the pizza places are all good. Gus’s is the best fried chicken I’ve had so it’s my favorite lunch spot.

Check out Rafters for lunch or Sunday brunch.

Amazing Louisiana influenced food.

Breakfast: BBB, Lindseys Chevron right off the square's buscuits (chicken, sausage, whatever you want on a biscuit). Lindsey's is not the one that does chicken on a stick.

lunch: Ajax, Phillip's Grocery, Handy Andys, Blind Pig

Dinner: only places worth the price..City Grocery, St. Leo, Old Venice

Go to the Grille House for dinner. One of the few places I’ll actually order a steak. For lunch, there are just too many places to pick from. Play dizzy bat in the middle of the square and just walk into a building. Eat there. It’ll probably be good.

ETA: I see someone rec’d Old Venice. Don’t go there. Trust me. Just don’t.

Stella is new on the square. Good but overpriced. Mcewan's is my favorite place for dinner on square. Ravine is out of town but really good. Old taylor catfish is unique and good if you like catfish.

City Grocery is the classic for dinner, but we were blown away by St. Leo. Just a really great experience there.
