Have you had Smoke yet? I’ve tried the one in the Depot, but not Smoke in the Pearl. Looking forward to our Muddy Waters, if only for the wings.

six bbq places within a mile or so radius and all of them are completely mediocre or worse

How many are actually open? How many have been open for over a month?

BBQ restaurants usually take a bit to hit their stride

Have not tried Smoke. Have tried BBQ Depot, Smokey Joes, BB's, Dickies (yeah) and have tried Gulfport MW. Of those, Gulfport MW was the most consistent.

I enjoy the sushi at Chef Scott's in Ocean Springs.

I also can't pass through Gulfport without stopping for all-you-can-eat fried chicken at Cajun's Fabulous Fried Chicken. There used to be one in BR back in the day and I was addicted to it.

Has anyone been to Cora's in the White House Hotel? I will be staying there in a few weeks.

It's solid. Nothing too exciting, but solid.

I like Samurai in Gulfport more than Chef Scott’s or any other coastal sushi joints, but Fatsuno or On A Roll work when I’m close as well.

Looking forward to the Thorny Oyster burger this week. I’ve heard it’s good. Only been once, but it was for a nicer dinner.
