Marilynn's or Cush's. Just leave your shrimp boots at home, cher.

And take a bath!

Just don't eat. I'm sure it won't compare to whatever culinary juggernauts you're accustomed to in your home town. If you must, grab some Wendy's on your way out town.

Frank's Pizza

Taqueria La Michoacana
Danh's Garden (Viet and Thai)

The last two are low rent places with good food. Road construction around them is rough right now, but you can get in and out.

El Cabo Verde (in Provenance 'hood, south of town) is a hot new place. Tried it recently and enjoyed it. All fresh prepared Mexican food by a legit Mexican chef.

Is Cabo worth the drive over Ki right down the road for me?

I don't know. Going with a buddy who considers himself kind of a foodie. This is going to be a suicide mission. Leaving thibodaux at 5 to go pick up a 14 foot flatboat. No trailer. This dudes truck bed is only 5 feet long. I don't think he know what he's getting into. Also driving back the same day. I was trying to milk an over night at the casino, but he has to help his old lady's sister move to Slidell on Sunday.

You're not likely to quit Ki for Cabo long term, but it's worth a 10 or 15 minute zip down 49 to give it a shot and try something new. Also, I try to spread my money around to help all the local places I like.
