Glenfiddich 18 year scotch shortage?

Buddy got me some at my wedding. It's a whole nother level. Recently for Christmas I looked for some but could only find 14 and 15 YO. Is it in short supply like 12 YO old charter is, or something?
Also, I think I like the 14 more than the 15 Glenfiddich. Funny.

Normally the distributors get higher end expressions of liquors in limited drops a year. Some of those sellout very quickly and some take a while to move through inventory. Your store might have sold out and the distributor hasn’t gotten their next shipment.

What do y'all think of the Glenfiddich 14?
I got a bottle for Christmas, but have not opened it yet. I usually bounce back and forth between the Islas (Laphroiag, Lagavulin, or Bunnahabhain) and stuff like MacCallans 12 or Glenmorangie Original.
