I'm about to take the plunge, mates - just having a couple of happy hour beverages first.
I'm sure it will be overrated - the reviews have been trending as such for over a year. But they'll be my first Chang restaurants.
So far the only "celebrity chefs" who I'm not let down by have been Besh and Keller - eta and Nobu.
Then I may go salute Trump Tower and our new God Emperor before calling it a night

The mushroom steamed buns were top notch at momofuku. The texture of the bun was nice and soft and the mushrooms were cooked down in a dark brown sauce that was delicious. The ramen was fine but it didn't blow me away.

Here's fuku... it's empty (7pm and rainy... but empty)

Oh and in regards to celebrity chefs.... I left off Nobu - Nobu is alright - I still remember the Chilean sea bass from Beverly Hills in 2011. I was unemployed (had just gotten laid off and was doing everything on points) and it was still the best entree I've ever had. His Las Vegas restaurant sucks arse tho

Man that sandwich looks pretty plain. How is it? Is there something that makes it special?

Steamed pork buns, ham with red eye gravy, rice cakes with chinese sausage, all very delicious eats at momofuku.

It was like the best chic fil a I've ever had - totally worth the $8 given the location and hype.
Only downside was I saw the cool dropping the frozen chicken into the fryer.. but even so was better than CFA.

Is the Tecate a slight nod to our god emperor ?

It's good food - don't worry about the hype.

If something tastes good, that's all that matters. And at $8 that's even better.

Mates momofuku was legit - I went for the wings instead of the mushroom bun and the ramen (at least) equaled anything I had in Los Angeles or Tokyo.
