Frozen Produce Is As Healthy As Fresh - Study

As for the assumption that fresh is healthiest, it turns out that frozen produce can pack a punch when it comes to nutrition. When you freeze fruits and vegetables, it locks in nutrients, and several studies have shown that this helps retain high levels of vitamins. "You can store them in the freezer for a year and the nutrient level pretty much stays the same," says plant scientist Hazel MacTavish-West, who is a food industry consultant.

I use frozen corn, green beans and peas and some beans. Never had a problem. I think they have a lot let less preservatives and sodium as well.

We buy both fresh and frozen veggies. I like the flexibility and convenience that frozen vegetables provide. Always having them on hand makes us much more likely to eat them often.

Yep, but my older relative who refuses to look at a salt shaker for fear of sodium will eat canned veg all day and turn up his nose at frozen.
He's eaten shitty canned stuff for so long that he thinks it is better than frozen. He somehow forgets his sodium issue when it comes to that.

Most all canned vegetables out there have low/no sodium options. I eat canned, frozen and fresh depending on circumstance and application.
I also freeze and can my own so I can’t be too hypocritical of store bought but about mid May to September I’m eating fresh from my own garden as much as possible.

It's always been a texture thing for me. Never thought twice about nutrients.

The frozen veggies/fruits has less preservatives and sodium then the fresh veggies/fruits you find on the shelf? How? Or are you talking about canned vs frozen?

Neither frozen nor fresh have sodium or preservatives. The frozen are flash frozen, and like this article references there have been studies that in locks in micronutrients hence being better for you.
Canned has sodium, but that's pretty irrelevant. If you are taking in enough water studies have shown sodium passes right through your body.
