Fried soft shell shrimp?

Just bought an ice chest of 21-25s.
As I was peeling them, I went through a few "soft shell" shrimp and put them aside. Can I batter these just like soft shell crabs and fry them? Anyone have any experience on these?

Guy at my old duck camp loved them.....would fry the whole damn thing soft shell, head and all and would consider it a delicacy.
He was an amazing duck camp cook but I never tried his soft shelled shrimp.

If they are fried right, I'll eat a regular fried shrimp with the tail on. Love it actually. I don't purposely do it, but the last time my wife fried up some shrimp I ate probably 20. Nothing wrong with it.
I was eating a softshell crab one day and decided to try a shrimp tail, and it was great. They have to be fried right to where they are super crispy and all it takes is 2-3 chews and they disintegrate. I don't mess with them if they are chewy or what not.
