gonna soak in buttermilk, egg, garlic powder and hot sauce. Would baking powder added to the flour make them crispy?. I want REAL crispy!

Flour them, then put them into your egg and buttermilk wash, then coat them in flour again. Fry at 350.

You usually have to look hard for livers at our local Kroger, but this holiday season they have tubs galore of them.

What’s the deal? Is everyone making pate’ for parties, or is rumaki making a comeback? This isn’t really dirty rice country, so I can’t attribute it to that, though we will have some at our house tomorrow.

The fry them correctly.

Use new oil and a thermometer and let the oil get back to temp between batches....

I love chicken livers. My mom makes an old family recipe they call suppli — it has ground chicken livers, rice, butter, Parmesan, and tomato paste mixed together and formed into balls, then rolled in bread crumbs and fried. One of my favorite things in the world to eat.

Thank god I have never encountered this - my blood pressure and cholesterol would be through the roof....
