Fridge recommendation

Looking to spend $1000-$1500 on a fridge. I know nothing about what brand is quality. JD power and associates say LG and Samsung.

Kind of a crap shoot. Having an ice maker or thru-the-door ice and water adds to break down frequency.
I like the freezer on the bottom, French doors on top models. But that freezer on bottom adds a lot to the price. If you can stand freezer on top, you can save a lot.

i hate my french door,but I paid a lot more for a counter depth and there's no room. LG and no problem!

I don’t have a particular recommendation other than that I prefer the freezer on top which can be hard to find.
