What's with adopting slow's avatar? You're the second one I've seen.

What'd I miss?

Friend from Dempseys just told me she works 5-530 til 9-930.

This is actually doable for me. I might apply.

It seems like both you and the bartender were in the wrong. You started wrong by just requesting a beer and not specifying which one. Your bartender started wrong by not even suggesting some beer names.
I don't blame you for timing the salad. I get that. I don't understand why you had to get an attidude about it though. I have learned, especially when eating out, that sometimes the best way to handle these types of situations is to be as polite as possible. I hate when people I am with throw fits about wanting a refill of their coke. Like, seriously. It's a coke, it's not the end of the world. Honestly, I would ignore people who are rude to me and have pissy attitudes.

let's do it!

She said she only works 2 days a week right now (by choice) and that you pretty much make your own schedule.

And you make more than $2.13/hr, which is usually what servers make.

i know many have said it, but i wouldnt go to Outback and sit at the bar and expect exceptional service

yes it is their job to serve you. But they also do not have the same standards as other top notch restaurants.

if you go to a place with a hands on owner, who cares not only about the customers but about his employees, the chance of getting bad service is a lot less likely

you're in Outback dude. Nothing is really going to surprise me, because if i am going there, i am going in without high expectations. And if i order something, im not going to say "beer" then get mad when some 20 year old doesnt know the beer list

I was once on a date at cheesecake factory (her choice) when we heard a dish break in the kitchen. Shortly after our meal arrived my date found a large piece of dinner plate in her salad. She complained until the waiter let her know that dessert would be on the house. Now, I know the entire meal should have been comped but I was not gonna put that much effort into getting a free meal.

the solution: stop being a little bitch.

In the end, is it really THAT big of a deal?? In the big picture, is it life altering? Seriously.

LL,

You said you eat out 5x a week. How many of those 5x are you paying?

Just reading your "paycheck to paycheck" comment made me scratch my head and now I'm curious.
