What are you thoughts on Frank's Restaurant in both Baton Rouge and Prairievill?

One of those places that people always go to but really isn't that good. The biscuits aren't my style. I usually end up with the boudin omelet. I got a turducken from their meat market one year and it was just ok.

thats pretty rough guys. Its much better than waffle house. The food isnt out of this world. I like it.

Can we agree that Franks is better than Louies or waffle house? Im not saying franks is great, but its pretty good for a breakfast place. That and they serve good portions at a good value.

100% definitly better than Louies. I cant understand what the draw to Louies is unless you are drunk and at that point there is no difference between Louies or taco bell. Franks has some different omelete choices and good biscuits and quality hash browns.

Thank you. People are acting like it's the worst restaurant in BR. It's plain and simple breakfast food in a clean atmosphere with reasonable prices. I would much rather support them than IHOP.

It's ok, nothing special. Nothing real good, nothing real bad. Red Stickers grew up with the place and get defensive if you act like it's anything less than breakfast at Brennan's.

I didnt grow up in BR and only tried it for the first time a year ago. Its a good breakfast. Never had anything else there. It is definitly better than anything I have had at Louies though. There are not all that many places in BR that serve a decent Breakfast to begin with basically you have the chains and a handful of diners.

They can scramble the hell out of an egg.
But I'll say this. I had breakfast Sunday morning at Camelia Grill on Carolton and it sucked. Waiter forget half the order and was too busy screaming at the other customers trying to be funny rather than paying attention. Cold toast, omelette with no flavor and lukewarm coffee. Tomato juice was good and my daughters chocolate milkshake was good. I won't be back.

I feel pretty much the same about Camelia as I do about Louies.. Overhyped by college crowd and those that see it as a local icon.

i agree but to compare it to franks is like apples and oranges. franks is more of a diner style type place
