Maybe, I just give them the $5 and tell them to keep the jambalaya.

Man y'all are going to the wrong fundraisers. I try to find any Ascension Parish plant fundraiser. Those boys can cook. Or the Exxon gang.

Y'all must be hitting the Glen Oaks Middle PTA one.

The ones I've gotten over the years have mostly come from the same couple of places. It's always for a very worthy cause and I'm more than happy to help. But it's almost as if they go out of their way to make the blandest & shittiest jam known to mankind. I know everything gets donated to make the jams, but geeze that is some bad stuff.

What they pass off as jambalaya is a disgrace. Parboiled rice, kitchen bouquet, cheap sausage etc.

I eat at the one off Perkins on occasion and its most certainly not parboiled rice. I think the quality is different by location but the one on perkins near siegan is pretty good. Just not a great location.

I use one off Perkins for the periodic catering job. Its not bad. Chet is a solid Christian dude and I want to support him. There is worse out there

I cant speak for the other locations but the JS on Perkins is solid. Its not going to win awards but its most certainly not a disgrace or remotely bad.

You want really bad jambalaya? Try those benefit dinner ones.

Served with a cliche side salad of iceberg lettuce and mushy tomato, thousand island dressing and a stale roll.
