For those visiting Louisiana from out of state, where did you go for a fix?

Just went to Liz's in Madeville. Got Gumbo and BBQ Shrimp poboy. Damn, don't have that in Kentucky.

Let's hear the good food y'all eating in Louisiana.

When I went back to New Orleans from Kentucky I went to casamentos for an oyster loaf and oysters. Definitely can't get that in Kentucky. I can make gumbo and most of the other south LA dishes even if I have to use a poor excuse for andouille.

Had a dozen raw and a dozen chargrilled at Phils yesterday in Baton Rouge. Oysters were big and briny.
I had my fix of crab last night with Crabmeat cheesecake and veal Michael at Ruffinos.

If I make it to Baton Rouge, I usually go to sammys to get my fried seafood fix.

For New Orleans, I don't have a specific spot. Just make sure to eat as much as possible.
