For Texas folks (brisket sale)

HEB has brisket at $1.89lb. Grabbed a couple 13lbers today. Just put one on the traeger for tomorrow.

I put it on at 11:30-12 last night by 6 it was 165 (applied wrap)and by 8:30 it was 203. Considering the traeger was running 230 and verified by my Thermoworks I anticipated a solid 12-14 hours. It was one of the fastest I’ve done. Ah well into the cooler it goes until later.

internal temp increased quick for me as well. 225 unwrapped and 250 wrapped. didn't stall until 190 which usually is around 160. i wrapped too early and bark didn't come out like wanted but still tasted great

Yep. I'm gonna be out that way this wknd and planned on snagging a couple. Remove the flats and grind with chuck and short rib for ground meat and smoke the points. Oh well...maybe next time.

1.27 for pork butts, 5.99 for prime chuck roasts, 1.77 for pork loins at HEB starting tomorrow.

Yep…just checked the ad. The butts are 2.49 here in Sw Ms.
