Food processor recommendation

We had an old KA in red that we loved for many years. When it finally died we bought another KA. And hated it. Over engineering caused cleaning nightmares and it just didn't work well. We gave it away. Bought a cheap thing on Amazon and it was plastic Chinese junk that broke grating cheese.
We would like something simple and heavy duty. Mostly chopping food but sometimes we grate a lot of cheese and don't want to do it by hand. Family of four but will be two in a few years.

I have a Cuisinart and have been very happy with it.

I have an older Cuisinart which works fine but it's a bitch to clean. Too many nooks and crannies. Wish I could afford a small Robot Coupe.

I have a Robot Coupe that I bought in the early 1980’s and that thing is still going strong! I wish I could find a replacement bowl because it’s got some issues, but it still fits and locks in place.

Oskar Food Processor
I have the new Cuisinart, but honestly I reach for my Oskar more than anything other than grating large blocks of cheese or dough making. I even have two spares. They bowl is plenty big enough to process one large onion at a time, and it fits on the top rack of my dishwasher.

I have a Ninja something or other. It's relatively heavy duty, powerful, and does just about anything I could ask it to. I'm relatively confident I could use it to turn rocks into dust, give it a quick rinse, then pulse tomatoes to a clean, fine dice.

Received a Cuisinart food processor as a wedding gift. I was married in 1977. That food processor is still going strong, although we had to replace the bowl 3 to 4 years ago. Do not wash the bowls in the dishwasher, the heat used to dry degrades the plastic bowl.
