Can't you say that about any restaurant in the state?
Do the Fleming locations in Louisiana import workers from other states?
Sure. This was in response to the comment that they moved their headquarters. It wasn't a comparison to other restaurants employing people in our state. Some folks were angry when they moved the headquarters after Katrina.
Obviously, most restaurants in our state employ local workers. Probably all of them do. I haven't heard of any who import 100%.

I have been to both of those places you mention and while Fleming's was good, I think RC had a better steak.
Flemings was ok. Ruth's Chris was better.

Definitely a hyperbole, but they are damn good. For the price, you can't beat em.

Went a couple of weekends ago. One of the best restaurants I have been to in a long time. Got the veal chop special and it was perfect. Girlfriends parents got the duck and it was perfect as well. I would imagine the steak is amazing as well, didn't try it, girlfriend got a filet and said it was amazing.
However, getting back on topic IMHO it is really damn hard to find a better steak that at Ruth's

Not so funny story....Sat by a guy on a plane that had just came back from some sort of juice drinking convention for Tex Roadhouse. Clearly a manager for some local branch, he was decked out in hats, mgt polos, pins, name cards, and lanyard. This dude talked for 50 min straight about how great roadhouse was to the guy on the side of him. I lost it when he boasted his steaks over Ruth's.

Whoever that guy was may the Lord have mercy on all that encounter him.

The Little Village has a good filet. I ate there a few weeks ago.

Paul Fleming did live in Lafayette for a while but he is from Franklin.

Everybody has a good filet because it is a filet. By far the easiest thing to prepare.

No mention of Sullivan's?
No, this is a thread about the best steak in Baton Rouge, not the most overpriced and obnoxious atmosphere
as far as best, I like Fleming's and Ruth's, just depends what I am in the mood for

I prefer Flemings's. Steaks are pretty much neck and neck. I just like the sides better at Fleming's

Well in Baton Rouge it's basically the attorneys / politicians eat at Ruth's and the doctors eat at Flemings. In general terms. You want to be seen you got go to Ruth's or Gino's.

Fleming's may offer more selections by the glass, but Ruth's has a better wine list.
