Anyone one have experience frying fish in a 5gal pot? I’m wondering how much oil I would probably need to float fish in a 5gal round bottom jambalaya pot.

I have 2 gallons of oil is plenty and they work very good. Get one of those long handle scoopers to get them out.

I’m not trying to fill the pot lol, just would be an easy setup to roll outside to fry in. I’m just wondering how much oil I will have to put in it to float a batch of fish.

Pretty much depends on how many fish you call a batch. You just don't want to drop so many fish in the oil to lower the temperature a good bit at one time.
